Because they got high

Well the next 24 hours could be interesting.

I got word from an anonymous source today that there may be some interesting court documents released apparently implicating a couple of very high-ranking Shreveport officials in marijuana use with a local attorney. There are also potential pot purchases from the same officials. It appears this was related to a divorce proceeding.

At this point, I don’t want to publish any names yet until the documents are released, but stay tuned. This could turn very interesting very quickly. Get ready for the sparks since I think it’s still a crime around here.

    Rex,

I was wondering how long it was going to take to come out, I found that stuff months ago. The problem with the proceedings is that there are leading questions, however the answers to the questions were sealed by the judge, so there is no real confirmation of what happened in this documentation. Feel free to email me as I have all the paperwork you are looking for.

As you said, we will have to wait and see. Allegations made in testimony in a divorce case are questionable at best, unless they lead to criminal investigation. Just not enough to go on yet. I’m anxious to see what comes out.

Yep – that’s why no names will be posted on my blog until I review the information. The article title sounded cool though (in reference to the Afroman rap song). LOLOL

I saw the documents too- they are in the “interrogatories” which any lawyer will tell you are mostly questions that are asked primarily for clarification purposes. You don’t really ask questions that you expect to be contested. The questions asked are along the lines of “do you deny…” this wouldn’t be asked if it would actually BE denied.

True – which is why I didn’t actually state any names yet. However, the affirmative answers are out there and documented, even if for clarification purposes.

      Thanks for the reply.

Are the affirmative answers documented? If so, where can we see them?
